iPodMusic is built for classic, click-wheel iPods that mount as a disk, such as the iPod Classic, iPod Video and iPod nano models. Devices running Rockbox can use the folder-based sync instead.
Yes. iPodMusic downloads music from your own Apple Music account, so you need to sign in with an active subscription.
Open the .dmg and drag iPodMusic into your Applications folder. If macOS still blocks it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway, or right-click the app and choose Open.
Windows SmartScreen shows this warning for new apps it hasn't seen often. Click More info, then Run anyway to continue the installation.
By default they go to Music/iPodMusic in your home folder. You can choose a different folder in the app's settings.
